Private Jeep Tour To My Son Sanctuary From Hoi An. My Son's sacred country was awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Many elements of the sanctuary have been destroyed by time and battle, but it is still worthwhile to see the incredible religious building and learn about the distinctive Cham culture. The journey to My Son via refurbished army Jeep across the countryside is equally amazing.
Private Jeep Tour To My Son Sanctuary From Hoi AnItinerary:
08:30: You will be picked up by Jeep 4x4 from Hoi An Ancient Town with our expert tour guide.
We go through the countryside hamlets where people go about their everyday lives. The first visit is to a local market to see the lively morning activity while enjoying Vietnamese coffee.
Continue your lovely journey towards My Son over small rural roads flanked with local homes and picturesque paddy fields. Reach My Son Sanctuary before midday and go to the ruins of hundreds of red brick towers erected between the 7th and 13th centuries. Explore the trails, view the many remains, and take in the ambiance of this ancient monument.
My Son Sanctuary, Monuments in the sanctuary are the most significant structures of the My Son civilization. The tower temples have a variety of architectural designs that portray the beauty and holiness of Mount Meru, the mythical sacred mountain that shelters Hindu gods at the center of the universe. This mountainous homeland of the Chams is now symbolically depicted on Earth. They are made of burned brick, supported by stone pillars, and decorated with sandstone bas-reliefs portraying Hindu mythological scenes. Cham's technological expertise is obvious in their superior technology, and the intricate symbolism and iconography of the tower temples provide insight into the nature and growth of Cham's political and religious ideas.
Although extreme weather events such as flooding and high humidity are still possible at the location, their influence has been reduced by stream widening and the removal of adjacent vegetation. The presence of unidentified, unexploded munitions within the property's buffer zone remains a concern, impeding archaeology research in newly discovered places, restoration of eight historic structures, and tourism presentation of the site.
Return to Hoi An. Visit a bronze casting hamlet and a local home to learn about the history of this ancient art form and its significance in Vietnamese culture. Feel free to tour the village, take photos, and learn more about the colorful Vietnamese culture.
Continue your journey back to Hoi An via the countryside, with its picturesque towns and rice terraces, which offer several photo possibilities. When we arrive in Hoi An, we conclude our tour with lunch at The Field Restaurant.
14:30: Return to the Hotel.
End of Trip. See you again.
