Continue your delightful drive towards My Son over small rural roads lined with local cottages and scenic paddy fields. Reach My Son Sanctuary before lunchtime and explore the remnants of hundreds of red brick towers built between the 7th and 13th centuries. Explore the pathways, see the various remnants, and soak up the atmosphere of this historic monument.

My Son Sanctuary Monuments in the sanctuary are among the most important buildings of the My Son civilization. The tower temples have a range of architectural designs that depict the grandeur and sanctity of Mount Meru, the fabled sacred mountain that houses Hindu gods at the heart of the cosmos. This mountainous homeland of the Chams is now symbolically represented on Earth. They are constructed of burnt brick, supported by stone pillars, and embellished with sandstone bas-reliefs depicting Hindu mythical subjects. Cham's technological ability is evident in their superior technology, and the elaborate symbolism and iconography of the tower temples shed light on the nature and evolution of Cham's political and religious beliefs.

Although extreme weather events such as flooding and high humidity remain conceivable at the site, their impact has been mitigated by stream widening and the removal of nearby vegetation. The existence of unidentified, unexploded ordnance within the property's buffer zone continues to be a source of worry, hindering archaeology study in newly found areas, the restoration of eight ancient houses, and the site's tourism presentation.
