17 Days 16 Nights Vietnam Package Trip From Ulaanbaatar Itinerary:
DAY 1: HO CHI MINH ARRIVAL - TAN SON NHAT AIRPORT:
Our tour guide will meet you at Tan Son Nhat international airport in Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City is a sprawling metropolis with a population of over 10 million people and a fast-paced city full of contrasts, with street vendors selling fruits and vegetables next to glitzy western-style bars and boutiques. Saigon's history dates back barely 300 years.
Overnight in Saigon at a hotel.
DAY 2: HO CHI MINH - MEKONG DELTA: (L)
At 07:30, we will begin our exploration of all sites to visit in Vietnam. Leave Saigon for Cai Be - The tour begins at roughly 10.30 a.m. at the Cai Be town dock. Your crew will greet you aboard your sampan upon boarding. Visiting the lively Cai Be floating market, drifting amid local boats full of fruits and vegetables, and then on to Phu An hamlet, an undisturbed gorgeous place representing some of the greatest features of the Mekong Delta.
On the route, a stop will be made at several local home manufacturers to watch the production of rice paste, coconut sweets, and other regional delicacies. Lunch at "Le Longanier," a magnificent Indochinese home by the river, set in a beautiful tropical garden surrounded by fruit orchards. After lunch, your sampan will go to Sa Dec, a little "Venice" with several narrow canals. These evergreen islands in the Mekong River form huge networks of flowing waterways, crisscrossed by many arroyos, and are mostly unknown to the general public.
We will next be cruising to jacinth plantations on a little picturesque canal... You will travel through a narrow canal in a small rowing boat, passing past a local hamlet settlement and fruit plantations. Further up the river, some heavy smoke in the sky will bring us to one of the largest artisan bricks and tiles factories, where you will be treated to an intriguing tour. You'll disembark at the local market.
Overnight in the hotel.
DAY 3: MEKONG DELTA - LONG XUYEN - CAN THO: (L)
The day will begin with a guided tour of Sa Dec, a pleasant and calm town filled with gorgeous French antique buildings and Chinese temples. You will also visit the local market and the Trung Vuong primary school, where well-known author Marguerite Duras spent her childhood. Back on board your private sampan for your second day of delta cruising.
A sumptuous lunch will be provided on board your sampan as it travels upstream on the Mekong river to Long Xuyen. Long Xuyen is a quiet typical provincial hamlet on the banks of the Mekong, studded with a beautiful floating market... Afternoon tour to "Ong Ho" island to see the museum of Ton Duc Thang, Vietnam's second president.
At the end of the day, we will plan an interesting evening for you, including dinner at a nearby historic home. You will be able to share your experiences with family members and learn about the traditional southern culture, which will be a highlight of your tour that you will remember for a long time.
Overnight in Can Tho.
DAY 4: HO CHI MINH - DA NANG - HOI AN: (L)
The following location to visit in Vietnam is central. Fly to Danang first thing in the morning. Our agent will meet you at the airport and transport you to Hoi An. Hoi An Ancient Town is a superb example of a South-East Asian commercial port dating from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Its structures and street plan represent the indigenous and foreign influences that have come together to create this one-of-a-kind cultural site.
Overnight in Hoi An.
DAY 5: HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN: (L)
Hoi An, known as Faifo to early Western traders, was one of South East Asia's main international ports, and it still has that distinctive old-world flavor today. Appreciate a walking tour through the Old Quarters to visit the town's monuments like as the Japanese Covered Bridge, the historic Assembly Hall, and Phuc Kien Temple before embarking on a river cruise to enjoy the panorama along the Thu Bon River and the overall perspective of Hoi An Ancient Town. Visit Thanh Ha's pottery hamlet, Kim Bong's carpentry village, and the Dai Chiem Estuary. Hoi An is also known for its abundance of tailor shops, so if you need a new wardrobe, now is the time to do it.

DAY 7: HOI AN - HUE MAUSOLEUM: (B)
This morning, we will travel to Hue, via the Hai Van Pass, where you will get a spectacular view of the Eastern Sea. Stop for a rest at Lang Co. Hotel check-in in Hue City. Hue was the capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 under the Nguyen Dynasty monarchs, and the city's regal history can still be seen within the walls of the Citadel and the Imperial City.
Both were extensively damaged during the 1968 Tet Offensive. Hue served as Vietnam's capital from 1802 to 1945 under the emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty, and the city's regal history can still be seen behind the walls of the Citadel and the Imperial City. Touring the historic Imperial Citadel. Return to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Overnight in Hue.
DAY 8: EXPLORING HUE COUNTRYSIDE: (L)
Morning boat ride on the Huong River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Touring the countryside around Hue is an excellent opportunity to learn about "genuine" Vietnam. Hue, Vietnam's cultural, religious, and educational hub, has many historic sites just waiting to be explored. For a flavor of ancient Vietnam, visit Phuoc Tich, a 500-year-old village with prayer halls and community housing.
We will also stop at the ancient Thanh Toan Bridge, one of only two remaining covered bridges in the country, before driving to the handicraft town of Phu Cam, which has long been famed for producing conical hats. This guided tour will educate you more about these hidden treasures and their history since practically all of them have direct ties to the former Imperial Court. The houses are not only beautiful, but they are also an excellent opportunity to learn about the Vietnamese people's ancient beliefs and customs.
Overnight in Hue.
DAY 9: HUE - HANOI: (L)
Morning flight to Hanoi, Vietnam's capital city, a beautiful metropolis set on the banks of the Red River, with the calm Restored Sword Lake in its core. The lively streets of the Old Quarter, north of the lake, are named for the trade that used to take place there.
When it became a French protectorate in the 1880s, the French changed most of the city, and there are broad boulevards and huge colonial buildings that today house government ministries and international embassies.
Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 10: HANOI CITY TOUR: (L)

The Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university erected in the 10th century, is the next stop. We will have a lunch break and then visit the Vietnam National History Museum, which has a rich collection of prehistoric relics and ordinary things from early history throughout the ages and dynasties.
Then we'll take a 1-hour cyclo (pedicab) ride around Hanoi's Old Quarters to see how people live in the city's oldest neighborhoods while seeing the famed traditional water puppetry display. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a general image of daily life in rural Vietnam by viewing various shows.
Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 11: HANOI - NINH BINH - SAPA: (L)
The journey from Hanoi to Hoa Lu is around two hours and takes you through picturesque countryside and agricultural land. On arrival, your expert guide will lead you through this ancient complex which formed the capital city of Vietnam under both the Dinh and Le Dynasties between 968 and 1009 AD.
The region is also known for its breathtaking natural beauty, with limestone peaks that are claimed to rival the majesty of Ha Long Bay. After that, continue south to Tam Coc, which translates to "three grottoes," where you will take a three-hour boat ride down the Boi River. This is the ideal approach to take in the breathtaking limestone peaks and jade valleys. Returning to Hanoi.
We will take you to the railway station at 09:00 to join the night train to Sapa.
Overnight on the train.
DAY 12: SAPA CITY TOUR: (L)
At 5:00 AM. The train arrives at Lao Cai. Drive to Sapa uphill. Sapa, at 1,500 meters in height, was a historic mountaintop hideaway for French officials when the heat on the plain grew oppressive. Although conditions are quite rudimentary, the remoteness and simple lifestyle of ethnic minorities are highlights of Sapa. We may enjoy the fresh air as much as we wish after checking into the hotel by roaming around.
This hill village is frequented by ethnic people, and little merchants along the street sell native fabrics and handicrafts. In the afternoon, we will climb to Cat Cat village (2 kilometers from Sapa town), where you will visit the Black Hmong hill tribes' village. Enjoy the stunning scenery of Sapa Valley. Return to the hotel.
Overnight in Sapa.
