The Tomb of Khai Dinh Emperor, commonly known as the Ung Mausoleum, is a tomb built for Khai Dinh, Vietnam's twelfth Emperor of the Nguyen dynasty. It blends Vietnamese and Western architectural styles. The mausoleum was completed in 1931, after an 11-year construction period. It is located near Hue, the old capital city, above Châu Ch mountain. As part of the Hue Monuments Complex, the tomb was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.

Thien Mu Pagoda in Hue is a functioning Buddhist pagoda that was built in 1601. One of the most dramatic displays is a car belonging to a former monk who traveled to Sai Gon in 1963 and burnt himself to death in protest of the South Vietnamese regime's treatment of Buddhist monks and followers.

The Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, and the Emperor's Private Residence are all housed in the Hue Imperial Citadel. From 1804 until 1833, the Nguyen Dynasty (Vietnam's last feudalist monarchy) built the Hue Citadel. The Imperial City grounds are fortified with 2-kilometer-long walls and a moat. Inside the Citadel, there are various diverse architectural works, such as the Imperial City Gates, the Purple Forbidden City, Temples and places of worship, pavilions, and gardens.

Thuy Xuan Incense Village in Hue, previously famous for producing incense for the imperial capital of Hue's past dynasties, has earned a position on the tourism map of Hue Province in central Vietnam. Over the last 10 years, Thuy Xuan Village, located around seven kilometers southwest of the city center, has succeeded in transforming the traditional village into an appealing tourist destination.
