1. International New Year:

Vietnam celebrates International New Year's Day on January 1st, as do many other civilizations throughout the world. Today is the first day of the new year. The Vietnamese New Year may date back to the 18th century, when Vietnam was a French colony. The locals are growing more receptive of the day. In today's society, a day off is frequently used to bid farewell and welcome the new year. There is no better time to visit Vietnam than during a national holiday, when the weather is perfect for outdoor activities. You may also watch TV shows or join a countdown party in large cities.

2. Tet Holidays - Lunar New Year:

Tet, a three-day celebration of the Lunar New Year, is one of the most important festivals for Vietnamese people. Many people take a week off of work or school to enjoy the occasion. Vietnam's streets are decorated with bright lights and flowers such as apricot blossoms, kumquat trees, tulips, and daisies. Travelers to Vietnam during this time will appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and deserted streets, as well as the different Tet-related events.

3. Liberation Day/ Reunification Day:

Every year on April 30th, Vietnam commemorates its reunification, which occurred in 1975 when the north and south merged to become one nation with the same governmental structure. For a week, neon lights, red flags, and colorful banners decorate the streets of Vietnam's largest cities. There may be a procession or a live nationwide show. Thousands of people attend the greatest event in Ha Noi's capital, so arrive early to participate. This year, 2025, marks the 50th anniversary of Vietnamese independence.

4. International Labor Day:

In Vietnam, Labor Day coincides with Reunification Day. As a result, employees are entitled to two to four days of vacation every year. Even in busy areas, tourism services are still available. Many domestics have the opportunity to visit a neighboring city in Vietnam. This is a fantastic time to come due of the beautiful weather and the abundance of activities and ceremonies for both tourists and residents.

5. Vietnam National Independence Day:

On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Vietnamese Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, announcing Vietnam's independence from the enemy. Since then, Vietnamese people have commemorated this important day. People are dancing and singing to the beat of the music around the city, as red flags, banners, and flowers line the streets. There are various events available to both residents and tourists, such as watching fireworks, attending a lengthy grand procession and march, or visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

Top Highlights Vietnam Holiday Packages 2025:

Seeing a variety of interesting cultural and historical places, as well as taking many breaks to enjoy the natural beauty of the islands, including some fantastic snorkeling, and having excellent guides made this a wonderful trip.

  • Mai Chau Valley:

The serene Mai Chau Valley is located around 135 kilometers (85 miles) from Hanoi. Mai Chau is a collection of little villages, farms, and individual stilt houses dispersed across a large and green valley, well known for its Ruou Can (a peculiar rice wine drank with long bamboo straws). Peaceful and appealing, it is also the closest region to Hanoi from which to go into the countryside and spend the night in an authentic ethnic minority settlement.

  • Moc Chau Plateau:

When you approach the huge market town of Moc Chau, you'll find black-and-white dairy cows crossing the road, which were originally imported from Holland. Much of the region is dedicated to dairy production, so try some of the famously thick yogurt, ice cream, or Moc Chau-branded chocolate bars. Be aware that overnight temperatures in the coldest months, January and February, can fall below -3°C (27°F). Visitors should dress appropriately, as central heating is difficult to obtain.

  • Dien Bien Phu Battles:

Dien Bien Phu, Dien Bien province's capital, situated on the east bank of the Nam Rom River (Song Nam Rom), near the northern end of the Muong Thanh Valley. This was the site of the historic Battle of Dien Bien Phu, a 57-day siege that effectively ended the French empire in Asia. It is flanked by tall green hills from which tens of thousands of Viet Minh fighters attacked French G Garrisons in 1954.

  • Lai Chau Province:

Lai Chau province, located between China to the north and Laos to the west, was once known for its wildlife, including tigers, but this has since been drastically reduced (with no tiger sightings in several years) due to rampant deforestation, slash-and-burn farming, and the lucrative trade in illegal animal products.

  • Sapa City And Sapa Market:

Sapa is one of the country's most popular trekking destinations, thanks to its breathtaking terraced landscapes, cultural variety, and busy markets. The setting is breathtaking, and it takes no more than 10 minutes to stroll past the town and into the tranquil countryside for an unforgettable Vietnam vacation. Sapa is instantly recognisable by its diversified collection of hotels, restaurants, and shops, all of which bear a distinct French architectural influence. Sapa is home to various ethnic villages and wooden homes inhabited by minorities like Thai, Tay, Day, Red Dao, and Black H'mong.

  • Son La Province:

Son La is a series of slow photographs taken from the minibus window during their long journey from Hanoi to Dien Bien Phu. And the same-named provincial capital has no tourist appeal. It is a typical "the pleasure is in the getting there" location. There are many fewer fantastic provinces to skip a day or two than Son La. Also, if you are travelling on your own. Consider a motorcycle. Son La has several trip options, including side roads off the main route, villages, and hills to explore.
