The Legendary of The LangBiang Mountain Dalat:

One famous legend tells the story of K'Lang and H'Biang, two people from different ethnic groups who fell in love. Their relationship was banned because the two families harbored enmity toward one other. The couple had no alternative but to live in the highlands till they passed away.

The two towns resolved to bury the hatchet and named the mountain Lang Biang to honor the lovers. Locals think that this mountain reflects the couple's everlasting love, making it a symbol of romance and loyalty.

According to the myth, the Cil Chieftain's family once had a lovely young maid named H'Biang. While collecting mushrooms in the woods, she was attacked by wolves. Fortunately, K'Lang, the Lach Chieftain's son, came by and saved her. They subsequently fell in love. However, because the Cil and Lach tribes were enemies, their love was rejected.

To maintain their love, they decided to leave the tribes and travel to a high mountain. When H'Biang became very ill, K'Lang decided to transport her back to her village for treatment. However, when they arrived at the hamlet, the residents attacked them. Faced with imminent peril, H'Biang stretched out to grab the arrow pointed at K'Lang. She died, leaving K'Lang in immense anguish. He went back to the mountain where they resided and committed suicide.

Following the couple's deaths, the two tribes regretted their actions so greatly that they chose to forsake their hate and combine into one ethnic group known as the Co Ho. To honor the pair, the mountain where they resided was called Lang Biang, and the creek that flows from it was named Da Nhim, which means "tears" in the Co Ho language.

Lang Biang Mountain is currently part of the Lang Biang Biosphere Reserve, which has a varied range of uncommon flora and animals. The reserve was recently designated by UNESCO as a global biosphere reserve. It is also a popular tourist destination for many. Tourists may reach Lang Biang via vehicle or by foot. On top of the mountain, a romantically breathtaking panorama awaits. Tourists may get a panoramic picture of Da Lat City by looking south. In the north, a vast green region of woods and steep hills appears to hide a variety of strange stories that only those willing to investigate may uncover. As night sets, a campground provides the coolness of the unique environment, and travelers may find themselves lost in the dance tunes of the Co Ho people in hamlets at the foot of the mountains.
