  • A beautiful new cave was discovered in Bac Kan:

A new cave, characterized as lovely and enigmatic, with a complex network of grottos, has been found in the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan. The first cave was discovered when workers were constructing the National Highway 3B near Ang Toong Pass. The newly found cave is 20 meters deep within the original cave.

All stalactites remain undisturbed, sparkling and gleaming like stars in the sky. The first cave is 120 metres long and quite big, consisting of three caverns. The freshly discovered one is 350 meters long and made up of five caverns. The walls are all blue stone, with some earth and white stone mixed throughout.

The deeper the cave, the more stalactites it has. Illusionary stalactites and stalagmites of various sizes and hues lead people to imagine they are in a lost planet. The magnificent stalactites are like long strips of curtains, the patterns on the walls are like bas-reliefs, and the stone pillars are like lit candles. Some threads are 1-2 meters long and resemble lianas resting on someone's roof.

Some areas have overlapping stalactites, and knocking on them sounds like a musical instrument.

Small fresh streams flow between the rocks, giving the cave the appearance of a watercolor painting. The cave's bottom is mud-free and exceedingly transparent, with stalactite layers organized like ancient coins beneath the pure water surface.

The local authorities have notified relevant entities to conserve and develop the caverns as a tourism destination in Bac Kan Province. As they work to preserve the caverns' natural condition, they must ensure that locals do not steal the valuable stalactites.

Bac Kan is a mountainous province known for its stunning scenery, abundant forests, and mineral riches.

It also features Ba Be Lake, which was designated as a national historic cultural treasure in 1996; nonetheless, it is most renowned for its magnificent subterranean caverns, including Poung, Tien, Na Phoong, Ba Cua, Son Duong, Nang Tien, and Tham Long.
