Private Half-Day Explore Hanoi Military History Tour Itinerary:

Start your journey at 8.AM with a visit to the Military History Museum, where images and battle remnants will provide you with an introduction to Vietnamese history via its conflicts. Visit the neighboring Hanoi Flag Tower and discover why it is one of the country's most revered symbols. 

Next, proceed to Hoa Lo Prison, which was created and utilized by French overlords in Vietnam for political detainees, and subsequently by the North Vietnamese government for war prisoners. This structure is also known as the "Hanoi Hilton," as it "hosted" some American captives in 1997, including Senator John McCain and Pete Peterson, the United States' first post-war ambassador to Vietnam.

Continue on to the B-52 Victory Museum, which displays remains of the B-52 Stratofortress, an aircraft that was crucial to the American war effort. On the way back, you may view the wreckage of a B-52 bomber that was shot down over Hanoi in 1972. (Now also known as B-52 Lake)

The Long Bien bridge (formerly named Doumer Bridge) was erected in 1902 by Sir Gustave Eiffel's firm. Take a walking tour of this intriguing edifice to discover more about its history.
