NHA TRANG HANDICRAFT VILLAGE
Nha Trang Handicraft Village. Cham Oasis, a traditional artisan community in Nha Trang, opened at the end of August 2023. In the context of a steadily decreasing traditional culture, the combination of tourist growth with cultural conservation is a potential trend.
Address: Cham Oasis, 2/4 Street, Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang City, Vietnam
By exhibiting items and executing altered stages, Champa Island teaches travelers the traditional crafts of the South Central area such as hat making, Cham pottery manufacturing, and needlework...
Cham Oasis's traditional artisan community is located in an area of more than 2,500m2 on the Cai River, accessible by 2/4 Street in Vinh Phuoc Ward. It is surrounded by green space on Champa Island, which has magnificent traditional wooden dwellings.
Mr. Vu Trong Thuc, Director of Sales Manager of Champa Island, stated, "We considered building a traditional craft village to preserve the essence of Khanh Hoa's culture, as well as a destination for tourists and children to learn about traditional culture in Nha Trang city."
The Champa Island Resort, created in 2015 by the style of two big ships sailing out to sea, concentrates on high-end resort services with a system of modern condotel designed from 1 to 3 bedrooms and a chain of distinct luxury villas. Champa Island also features a fresh seafood restaurant, a children's playground, an outdoor sports field, a golf driving range, a riverbank café, unique archery and SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding) area, and event sites.
Tourists will be satisfied with the magnificent traditional craft site with some Vietnamese handicrafts, as well as Chandra Walking Street with open-air movies, street cuisine, and outdoor sports.
- Cham Pottery Handicraft:
Arriving at the Cham Oasis artisan community from afar, You will notice Cham ceramic pots placed on green grass, which reminds you of an ancient sense. Terracotta reliefs on the porch resemble the reliefs on the famed Cham towers. The artists of the Bau Truc pottery hamlet in Ninh Thuan province were hard at work creating ceramic ashtrays.
A few international visitors are observing the Cham women's skilled hands glide smoothly to shape. Many tourists were eager to try their hand at pottery making. "We are very happy to introduce the traditional pottery making of the Cham people to Nha Trang people and tourists," said artist Dang Thi Lon (from Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Phuoc district, Ninh Thuan province).
- Hand Embroidery:
Champa hand embroidery gallery is located in the Cham Oasis craft community. You may watch workers stitch pictures on silk and admire vibrant embroidered paintings of Ponagar Tower, porcelain flowers, and lotus flowers.
- Conical Hats Craft:
Nguyen Thi Loi, an artisan from Dien Son commune in Dien Khanh district, also demonstrated the traditional conical hat manufacture of Khanh Hoa Province at Cham Oasis. Mrs. Loi, who is over 60 years old, can still manufacture hats quickly and effectively. "Many tourists enjoy my conical hats." "I'm overjoyed," Ms. Loi said.
- Brocade Weaving Craft:
My Nghiep brocade weaving in Ninh Thuan dates back to the early 17th century. Textile items are totally handcrafted. The instrument used to manufacture brocade is a loom with wooden sticks interlaced; you will be unable to take your gaze away from the craftsmen's inventiveness.
Nha Trang City trip is a popular trip that is now easy to arrange. A private Nha Trang city tour appears to be appropriate for a limited time of 4-5 hours and visits almost all tourist attractions such as Long Son Pagoda (visiting White Huge Buddha Statue), Po Nagar Cham Towers (Cham people history), or Hon Chong Promontory (attending a Vietnam traditional music performance). Last stop: Dam market (Nha Trang's largest market).
You may participate in nearby Archery activities or relax with a cup of coffee by the river. Archery is the use of a bow to drive an arrow through the air. Keep an eye on the target while you pull back and then release the arrow. If you don't get it perfect the first time, take a big breath, load another arrow into your bow, and modify your aim for the next shot.
Leaving the hectic city to return to Champa 76 Cafe's quiet, simplicity, classic design, and rural harmony with nature. Champa 76 Cafe, located at the end of the island in the traditional Craft Village campus, is a perfect place to watch the sunset on the beautiful riverbank, listen to the birds singing and the incredibly lyrical sound of flowing water, and see unusual antique automobiles. The unique sound system and vintage CDs will bring back memories for you. You will appreciate the perfect and robust coffee, as well as teas with distinct flavor, color, and health benefits.
